Learning through Landscapes

The next issue explores the roles that academia and practice, across African geographies and cultures, play in the creation of landscape architecture. It foregrounds the role of the ‘teacher-practitioner’ in bridging theoretical inquiry and real-world application in a continuous dance in which theory informs practice and, in turn, practice informs theory - in short, learning through doing. It recognises that both natural processes and indigenous knowledge systems provide an essential foundation for landscape design.
