Water Futures Without Silos

The IFLA Climate Action Group invites landscape architects, planners, environmental professionals, and students to join Webinar #8: Water Futures Without Silos on 30 July 2026.

This free global webinar will explore how integrated landscape approaches can help secure more resilient water futures by breaking down traditional disciplinary silos. Through discussions on sponge-city delivery, wetlands governance, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), Sponge Planet strategies, and African resilience coalitions, the session will highlight the vital role of landscape architecture in addressing climate change and water security.

The webinar features an outstanding panel of speakers, including Leonie Joubert, Afomia Hunde, Tikabo Gebreyesus, and Thembelihle Mlokoti, who will share insights from African and international perspectives. The session will be moderated by Sourav Kumar Biswas, with Tamsin Faragher serving as Chair and Jane Welsh as Co-Chair.

The webinar is part of the IFLA Climate Action webinar series, which demonstrates how healthy, resilient landscapes underpin climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. By bringing together expertise from across sectors, the series continues to showcase landscape architecture as a key integrator of natural and human systems.
