Landscape architects, designers, planners, developers, researchers, and sustainability professionals are invited to attend the Africa Biophilic Building Conference & Expo 2026, taking place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 13–14 August 2026.
Held under the theme “Building with Nature & Culture: Creating Resilient, Occupant-Focused, and Climate-Smart Assets in Africa’s Built Environment,” the conference will explore how nature-integrated design can contribute to healthier communities, stronger ecosystems, and more resilient cities across the continent.
The event will bring together professionals from across the built environment sector for keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. Discussions will focus on biophilic design, climate-responsive development, Indigenous knowledge systems, healthy buildings, and nature-based solutions for Africa's future.
Organised by the Green Biophilic Living Society, the conference aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, government, industry, and communities while showcasing African-led innovation and culturally rooted approaches to regenerative design.
As conversations around climate adaptation, biodiversity, and human well-being continue to grow, this conference provides an exciting opportunity for African professionals to engage with emerging ideas and contribute to shaping a more nature-connected built environment.
