This September, Pretoria will host one of the most anticipated gatherings in the landscape architecture community in Africa—the IFLA Africa / ILASA Conference 2025. Centered on the theme "Reframing the African Landscape", the conference brings together practitioners, researchers, students, and policymakers to explore how design, ecology, and culture shape our urban and rural landscapes.
The programme features keynote addresses by Julia Watson, Ayanda Roji, Enton Earle, and Tamsin Faragher, along with a series of panels chaired by leading voices in the profession. Participants can look forward to in-depth discussions, networking opportunities, and two exciting site visits that will bring theory into practice.
The event will close with the Regional Council Meeting on 26 September, marking an important moment for collaboration and forward planning within IFLA Africa.
Join us in Pretoria for an inspiring and dynamic experience that promises to strengthen connections across disciplines and showcase the richness of African landscapes.
